Excellent point John. “Do good things and good things will happen”. This way of thinking transcends the transactional mentality companies take when they approach Lean. I’ve often heard (and even said myself) that a Lean pro should have a 10:1 ROI on their salary. Perhaps mantras like this can be conter-productive if taken too literally.

Really good article John. It’s necessary reminder that improvement requires change. Continuous Improvement requires constant change. It’s not the easy path but you get used to it – and you end up in a much better place in the end.
